What is a Graduate Degree?

A Graduate degree is an advanced degree that is completed after a student receives a bachelor degree. Belhaven awards Master degrees in Arts (M.A.), Business Administration, (M.B.A.) Education (M.Ed.), and Science (M.S.) Master degrees can typically be completed in two years or less. We also offer an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S) and a Doctor of Education in Education Leadership and supervision (Pk-12) (Ed.D).

What can I do with a Graduate Degree?

Because a Graduate degree focuses on a single discipline, students who earn one are typically seen as more advanced in their fields of study. Some management positions may require an MBA, and typically educational administration positions require at least a Master degree in Education.

Why should I consider a Graduate Degree?

A Graduate degree should be considered by students who wish to be considered experts in their field. Less than ten percent of adults 25 and older hold a master degree.
