Master of Science in Leadership with Public Administration Concentration

The core courses in an online MSL with a Public Administration concentration focus on the leadership skills needed in the public sector – coaching, conflict management, team building, and Human resource management. Students also immerse themselves in topics such as leadership development and managing organizational change.

The public administration component of the degree usually involves broad-brush topics such as government budgeting, ethics, public law, and public policy.

While an MSL in Public Administration prepares graduates for potential upper-level positions in government, graduate degree holders also draw demand among non-profit organizations that either work closely with agencies, or are in heavily regulated industries.

An MSL in Public Administration can also offer graduates greater flexibility to work in either the public, private or non-profit sector - a good choice for students who haven’t settled into a definite career track. The emphasis on servant leadership throughout the curriculum is particularly well suited for a life of public service.

The online Master of Science in Leadership (MSL) is a 36 credit hour graduate online program, designed to enhance the professional skills of business managers and executives. The program caters to adult professionals who seek to develop and increase their management and leadership roles in business, education, church, and other areas of their professional lives.
