Bachelor of Arts in Human Services
Belhaven University provides students a strong preparation in human services within a Christian worldview context. The Bachelor of Arts in Human Services degree is designed to provide a foundation of knowledge and prepare students to enter a broad range of helping professions directly after completing their degree. Emphasis is placed on developing the students' ability to understand and apply human service principles in their everyday lives; and appropriately interrelating their human service degree and the Christian faith.
Upon graduation students can obtain entry-level (non-licensed) positions within the field of case management, faith based/congregational care, business, recreation, and community outreach programs. The Human Services Degree program seeks to prepare professionals who can meet the needs of diverse communities with faith, integrity and sensitivity; and be prepared for advanced training, graduate school, and life-long learning.
